"It's really moving... the
narrative has changed," said European Commissioner for
Enlargement Marta Kos, who is "optimistic" that the first
negotiating chapters for Ukraine and Moldova's EU accession will
begin as soon as June. She stated this during an interview with
the Financial Times. "I am optimistic. So I expect the first
cluster to be opened in June. And all the other clusters... in
July," she says, referring to the thematic groups of the 33
negotiating chapters that candidate countries must adhere to
European standards.
